Plan and programme 2026/27, where things stand

Greetings to all parents and those interested!

To begin with, where things stand:

The renovation is nearing its end, we are still scrubbing and washing, and we would have started the workshops this week if we had not got stuck with deliveries. We have the tables, the chairs are present, the computers are scrubbed and stacked, but…

At the beginning of the week we are still expecting whiteboards, markers, paper, shelves and similar necessary supplies, which we need in day-to-day work, and then the definitive start of the workshops is on Monday 12 October.

A short gallery of where we are at the moment:

In parallel with the renovation, this year’s stint at OŠ Ivana Filipovića is finished; we have run 10 workshops for over 150 pupils on the topic of Responsible use of AI in programming, and Introduction to the Logo programming language, and we most warmly thank Osnovna Škola Ivana Filipovića for welcoming us with open arms, and its children who had fun with us and learned something.

PLAN and PROGRAMME!

On the right is a widget with the list of programmes which the Association deals with. These programmes have (thanks to no small effort, experience and the collective intelligence of our assembly members - IT specialists and at the same time also parents) now been brought into a final order and show the range of knowledge that is needed so that a Renaissance Programmer (a pupil who knows a little about everything) could find their way today, choose a specialisation and successfully get a job where the hobby equals the profession. For whoever does what they love will not work even a day in their life.

If your child is interested in any of these areas on offer - join us! The membership fee is fixed regardless of the number of workshops the child attends, the only limit is their own free time, and for that too we have methods for how to minimise it through our open doors and free activities.

PLAN for 2026/27 follows:
- 12.10. start of lectures and workshops that follow school activities, with breaks for school holidays
- February - a camp or intensive workshops ahead of the county informatics competition
- April - a camp or intensive workshops ahead of the national informatics competition
- August - a summer camp by the sea with active workshops adapted to outdoor activities - creative ones, drone programming and the like.

During this - our first - year, and specifically the first semester, while we are still acquiring all the necessary hardware (a 3D printer is soon on its way to HR!), we will be a little freer with the content of the lectures and we will adapt to what we have, but we will make every effort so that the children always learn something new and exciting that they can apply at home after every return from the classroom.

TL;DR

  • Workshops start on 12.10.
  • Programmes to the right
  • There will be camps
  • Hardware is dripping in for us from day to day
  • It will be great.
